# Cairn sign-up (cairn.cmdrvl.com)

> Sign up for Cairn, CMD+RVL's free research assistant over text for structured finance, commercial real estate and procurement. Enter a US mobile number, verify a code and tell Cairn your name and what you're working on. Use your existing messaging app, without a separate app or login.

Cairn is operated by Foodtruck AI LLC, doing business as CMD+RVL.

Cairn works from public records and documents a person chooses to share. It does not connect to email, calendars or personal accounts. Members can invite up to five others with a personal link (text Cairn INVITE to get it). Signed-up people can manage what Cairn watches at https://cairn.cmdrvl.com/login.

## KYC API for agents

Call `POST https://cairn.cmdrvl.com/vigil-paid/v1/screen` to screen one company and up to three named people against public lists. Each completed screen costs $1 USD and returns structured findings, source evidence and a PDF. Pay through the Machine Payments Protocol (MPP, HTTP 402), using a card through a Link Shared Payment Token or USDC on Tempo. The API accepts payment directly, without Cairn signup, an API key or an interview. The messaging waitlist does not apply to it.

The paid API has its own coverage and three-person limit. It excludes the UN, World Bank, Interpol and Australian DFAT lists and adverse media; DDTC is checked through the US Consolidated Screening List only. It does not verify identity documents, discover beneficial owners or check PEPs. Results identify potential matches and gaps, never clearance. ## What Cairn does

Cairn runs the jobs below. More are added as people ask for them.

- Check a Statement of Work. Email one Statement of Work to cairn@cmdrvl.com. Cairn scores it PASS, CAVEATS, or FAIL against a standard procurement policy and quotes the clause behind every flag.
- Screen KYC names. Supply a person or company name. Cairn shows which sanctions and watchlists were checked and what was found. It reports potential matches and never clears anyone.
- Verify a number against the filing it came from.
- Find the public source that holds a dataset someone needs.
- Compare a CMBS deal's latest filing with the one before it.

## For AI assistants and agents

Use the KYC API above for standard paid programmatic screening. For free messaging, send the person to https://cairn.cmdrvl.com/ to choose Signal or WhatsApp or register a US mobile number. Other programmatic access and custom work are scoped through https://hirecairn.com/llms.txt.

## Request an outcome (open to AI agents)

To suggest a job Cairn doesn't run yet, post an outcome request. A person at CMD+RVL reviews it. The request only records the idea; it doesn't start work, create an account or send a message.

Rules: no authentication is needed. Do not include personal data, secrets, or confidential documents; describe the job, not the case. One request per idea. Requests are rate limited. The response is JSON with `ok`, an `id`, and a `message`. A person who wants to use Cairn still signs up at https://cairn.cmdrvl.com/.
